Bower Fold is a decent stadium for this level, and could do a job in the F.L if they ever got that far. Plenty of cover and adequate seating available ,although it must be said that some of the stewarding shows an excess of zeal at times.

Welcome to Bower Fold.......

Sustenance!

Gone last season was the  Bower Fold show stopper of old.....their `Bacon Roll’- that of the swaying mound of bacon perched atop a bland roll......

Show Stopper !

........ no ...last season's fare had an altogether more  ominous hue about it…..as I eyed the fulsome menu and made my choice….” Pie and gravy”.
The purveyor of pies looked at me with a look of incredulity on his face, ”gravy?”…..”not peas?”. Now…you all know me as a brave lad….if an impatient one, so I quickly put the man right and took said portion onto the nearby terrace. I immediately realised that for once my bravery was misplaced as I stared into the solid mass of brown stuff surrounding my pie. The gravy just did not move at all….the stuff of nightmares, not a great start to the afternoon!

Clock that gravy folks !

So...be warned and maybe have a bite afore ye go !

The choice !

Programme.

At £2.00 for 40 pages I thought `Bower Bulletin’ was reasonable value, but  last season's pre match comments from Martyn Torr on page 3 that there would be a  good sporting contest ”  never stood  a chance  as is the norm at this fiesty fixture.
