The Lamb is a fairly Spartan stadium, which can accommodate around 800 visiting specs, with cover available on the terrace, and seats in the main stand as well. There is plenty of parking space alongside the stadium, which has an overly large amount of red paint daubed on it for one such as myself with an aversion to such!

Sustenance!

Usually there is a distinctly unimpressive hut on the terrace providing refreshments, but last season this had gone, and in its place was a spanking new eatery that offered a far greater range of food. Sausage and chips set you back £4, as did a Bacon Double Cheese Burger, and just Chips and Curry needed an outlay of £3.50.

Once inside the ground, you will need to be aware of the stewards. Although some of the stewards( renowned for their 1980`s style blinkered approach to crowd control) had been replaced by a younger version, last season, the same policies of constant harassment prevailed and these still have the same effect, even when accompanied by a sickly smile. One steward  standing blocking the view of me and many others throughout the game- do they not have chairs in Tamworth?
