Weekend Review 8 November
Dropping below County are Oxford City as they were only able to draw at home to next to bottom Stalybridge Celtic. Both goals came in the first half with Javier Rodriguez (11) putting Oxford ahead before a foul by the keeper on Ben McKenna gave Celtic a penalty and Liam Dickinson (28) got his first goal since September from the spot.
Hednesford Town dropped out of the play-off places and are now one of two clubs ahead of County on goal difference only. At least in Hednesford's case their point was earned against top of the table Barrow. The Cumbrians had gone ahead early in the second half thanks to Jason Walker (50). Next Saturday's visitors to EP responded through Danny Glover (61).
Guiseley stayed ahead of the Hatters thanks to a 2-0 home win over Lowestoft Town with another ex-County man Oli Johnson (73) on the score sheet. Oli's goals came a couple of minutes after Wayne Brooksby had put them ahead. .
County are now targeting the three sides on 27 points. Solihull Moors did not play due to other club's FA Cup responsibilities, but Chorley and Boston United met at Victory Park. The match saw Chorley lose a home league game for the first time this season. Boston scored one each die of half time through Dayle Southwell (34) and Kaine Felix (56) . Chorley's response came too little too late as Mark Ross (90) got his second of the season.
Lower down the table there three points for Gainsborough Trinity from their visit to Ewen Fields. Paul Beesley (16) had put Trinity ahead but Adam Blakeman (45) levelled things for Hyde near half-time. The winner came through Simon Russell (76) leaving Hyde 's latest run on 7 games without a win..
Tamworth recorded a decent 2-2 draw at home to North Ferriby United. All the more impressive as they came back from a two goal interval deficit. United's first came from the penalty spot Nathan Jarman (10) and Tom Denton (38) added another. The Lambs come back was started by Shane Clarke (65 and completed 11 minutes later through Dominic Smith.
With Gloucester and Harrogate meeting tomorrow [I'll aim to update this blog article when the result is in] the final match to mention from Saturday is the goal less draw between Colwyn Bay and Bradford Park Avenue in front of a crowd of 301 in North Wales..

FA CUP
In the FA Cup AFC Fylde lost their tie at Plymouth Argyle as the home side scored once in each half. Worcester City play their tie on Sunday.
