Alan Lord`s Profootball Academy- the Future Beckons!

We all know Alan Lord to be a great coach and a scout with more than a little of the golden touch about his work.
Since 2006 Alan`s Profootball `system' has produced no less than 57 players at Centre of Excellence Level, 15 Full Time Professionals including Anthony Pilkington, now of Norwich City, and Josh Thompson who subsequently signed for Celtic after initially playing for Stockport County, and 4 International Footballers.
A fantastic record you might think...and you would be right, but this September ( in association with Myerscough College, but based in Stockport ) Alan launches another exiting initiative aimed at home-grown talented young footballers aged between 16 and 18 years of age.
Asked about the scheme Alan  said " I would like to give Stockport youngsters a chance to fulfil their potential , for them to experience an enjoyable and caring environment. I want to give these players the best possible chance to achieve their chosen career, and I will ensure that they feel special and valued, whilst trying to make their vision a reality".
Its not pie in the sky either...Alan`s new approach via his Profootball Academy will provide
                                                         +   training every day `like a pro'.........
+  technical, tactical physical and psychological training    syllabus....
+  high standard recognised midweek fixture programme....
+ personal/ individual training and match analysis.....
+ video CV compilation ,work experience at pro clubs  etc etc etc...
At the end of a 2 year course players can come away with a Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport - an equivalent to 3 GCE A Levels, and massively work related as far as would be young pros are concerned!
When Help the Hatters heard the details of this wonderful project we were immensely excited, and quickly enquired as to how we could help.
Alan advised that a sponsorship scheme exists to allow companies or individuals to get on board and support the scheme by sponsoring a young player.
Just £150.00  would provide the player with full training kit and travel wear.
Fantastic.............we thought and immediately signed up as the schemes first sponsors!
Why not join Help the Hatters in supporting young footballers in Stockport, and do the same!
